In a bright room, this is difficult to see. <\/p>\n<p>Here are a few steps you can follow to make sure everything is working properly:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Verify that the smoke detector is turned on by pressing the test button. If the alarm sounds, it means the smoke detector is active. <\/li>\n<li>During the test alarm, you will see a red LED. This is the same light as the green, so if the red LED works, the green LED should also work. <\/li>\n<li>If you are still experiencing problems and the green LED does not seem to be working (note: this can be difficult to see in daylight), please make a short video of at least 2 minutes in a dark room in which you first press the test button and then show the problem. If this is done correctly, the green LED will flash at a fast rate for 1 minute.
