We ensure that these products are collected, processed and recycled according to environmental standards, so that raw materials can be reused and harmful substances are not released into the environment.
We encourage all our customers to dispose of their old appliances and batteries responsibly.

Netherlands
Aroha Electronics complies with the Dutch regulations for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and batteries.
We are affiliated with a recognized producer organization (OPEN Foundation) and contribute to the collection and processing of old electrical appliances and batteries.
Customers can return old electrical products free of charge at local collection points or through municipalities’ return services.

Der nachstehende Hinweis richtet sich an private Endnutzer, die Elektro- und/ oder Elektronikgeräte nutzen.
1. Getrennte Erfassung von Altgeräten
Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte, die zu Abfall geworden sind, werden als Altgeräte bezeichnet. Besitzer von Altgeräten haben diese einer vom unsortierten Siedlungsabfall getrennten Erfassung zuzuführen. Altgeräte
gehören insbesondere nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern in spezielle Sammel- und Rückgabesysteme. Besitzer von Altgeräten haben Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren, die nicht vom Altgerät umschlossen sind, sowie Lampen, die zerstörungsfrei aus dem Altgerät entnommen werden können, im Regelfall vor der Abgabe an einer Erfassungsstelle von diesem zu trennen. Dies gilt nicht, soweit die Altgeräte bei öffentlich-rechtlichen Entsorgungsträgern abgegeben und dort zum Zwecke der Vorbereitung zur Wiederverwendung von anderen Altgeräten separiert werden.
2. Möglichkeiten der Rückgabe von Altgeräten
Wenn Sie Altgeräten besitzen, können Sie an den durch öffentlich-rechtliche Entsorgungsträger eingerichteten und zur Verfügung stehenden Möglichkeiten der Rückgabe oder Sammlung von Altgeräten zum Zwecke der ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung der Altgeräte abgeben. Gegebenenfalls ist dort auch eine Abgabe von Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten zum Zwecke der Wiederverwendung, des Recycling anderer Formen der Verwertung der Geräte möglich. Nähere Informationen hierzu erhalten Sie von der jeweiligen Sammel- bzw. Rücknahmestelle.
3. Gefährliche Stoffen und die potenziellen Auswirkungen
Altgeräten können Stoffe enthalten, die schädlich für die Umwelt und die menschliche Gesundheit sind. Durch die getrennte Sammlung und Verwertung von Altgeräten sollen negative Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt und die menschliche Gesundheit vermieden werden.
4. Datenschutz-Hinweis
Altgeräte enthalten häufig sensible personenbezogene Daten. Dies gilt insbesondere für Geräte der Informations- und Telekommunikationstechnik wie Computer und Smartphones. Bitte beachten Sie in Ihrem eigenen Interesse, dass für die Löschung der Daten auf den zu entsorgenden Altgeräten jeder Endnutzer selbst verantwortlich ist.
5. Bedeutung des Symbols “durchgestrichene Mülltonne”
Das auf den Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten regelmäßig abgebildeten Symbol einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass das jeweilige Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer getrennt vom unsortierten Siedlungsabfall zu erfassen ist.

Irish battery recycling
As part of our commitment to ensuring batteries are disposed of responsibly after use, the following free option is available. Discarded batteries can be disposed of free of charge at a municipal waste disposal facility or from our authorized representatives at Leaf Environmental Ltd, Unit 10 Sunshine Industrial Estate, Crumlin Road, Dublin 12, Ireland D12 FT89, provided the batteries are of the same type as those sold by us.
We take battery recycling seriously. Some household batteries contain chemicals such as lead, mercury or cadmium. If batteries are thrown in your regular trash, chances are they will end up in the landfill. When batteries end up in the landfill, they begin to degrade and chemicals can leak into the ground. This can cause soil and water contamination, which can pose health risks. Recycling prevents this and can also recover some of the raw materials used in battery production. These can be used to produce other products. Recycling allows us to save some of the planet’s resources by reducing the need to mine new materials.
Irish WEEE recycling
Customers wishing to dispose of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) can do so free of charge on a one-to-one basis by informing customer service when ordering a new product. Aroha Electronics Ltd will also notify you 24 hours before delivery. If the discarded product cannot be collected when the new product is delivered, we will arrange for it to be collected within 15 days of delivery of your new product.
Aroha Electronics Ltd is committed to complying with the requirements of the European Union (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulation 2014. This regulation requires producers of electrical and electronic equipment to finance the take-back of WEEE from products we place on the Irish market. This helps us ensure that WEEE is safely reused or recycled. In line with this commitment, we will take back WEEE from you.
Returned WEEE will be sent to an authorized treatment facility, where it will be processed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. You can also bring the item to the office of our authorized representatives: Leaf Environmental Ltd, Unit 10 Sunshine Industrial Estate, Crumlin Road, Dublin 12, Ireland D12 FT89. You can also bring B2C WEEE items to your local council, where B2C WEEE will be taken back free of charge.
You play a role in the safe reuse and recycling of WEEE. You should not throw it in your trash can. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the product reminds users not to throw WEEE in the trash. You should ensure that WEEE is collected separately and properly disposed of. WEEE contains hazardous substances and, if not managed and disposed of safely, can cause pollution and damage to health.
The price of electrical appliances includes a contribution to recycling costs.
All WEEE and discarded batteries must be recycled and should not be thrown in your trash or recycling bin.
